Announcements for Friday, September 26, 2025

Posted Date: 9/26/25 (2:00 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

It’s hard to believe that we’re already wrapping up the first month of the 2025–2026 school year. It’s been an exciting start, and it’s been wonderful to see so many families joining us at curriculum nights, cheering at athletic events and enjoying the Marching Band Home Show.

Good luck to all of our Bees who are in action this weekend! Go Bees!

I have a few announcements to share with you today:

SockTober:

During the month of October, all of our schools will be participating in SockTober. We will be collecting new socks for donation to PEACE Inc. in Baldwinsville. SockTober is a nationwide movement to help those in need by providing one of the most requested but often overlooked items – socks! Each school will be accepting new socks of all kinds, including those for men, women, children and babies. Every pair makes a difference in keeping someone warm this season. Thank you to Elden Teacher Emma Manning for organizing this amazing way to give back!

Marching Band:

The Marching Bees will compete next at West Genesee High School at 6:26 p.m. Saturday! Go Bees! The home show was held last week and our Bees had an amazing performance for the home crowd!

October Calendar Reminder:

  • There is no school for all students on Thursday, October 2nd for a Superintendent’s Conference Day.

  • Homecoming weekend starts on Friday, October 3rd! Go Bees!

  • There is no school for all students on Monday, October 13th for the Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday.

FASFA:

We’re excited to share that the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form is now open at fafsa.gov. Completing the FAFSA form is a key to accessing federal, state, and institutional financial aid that can help cover the cost of college or career training. We strongly encourage all seniors to complete the form as soon as possible. If you need help or have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to your school counselor.

Please continue to check ParentSquare, your email and our website at www.bville.org, for important updates. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Go Bees!

Have a great weekend.

Sincerely,

Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri

Superintendent of Schools
