As we enter Veteran’s Day weekend, I would like to thank all our families who are currently serving or have served our country in the past. It is hard to believe but we have officially come to the conclusion of the first marking period today. Grades for the first quarter will be released next Friday. Please make sure you check grades on schooltool. I am excited to share that many of our students performed both in chorus, orchestra, and band concerts this week. As always, their performance was outstanding and I was impressed with the musical talent of our students. I hope everyone has a relaxing long fall weekend!

Marking Period 2
Just a reminder that Marking Period 2 begins on Tuesday, November 11th. Please have your child look at their class schedule to see if there are any changes.
Durgee JHS Spirit Sale
We are excited to announce that Durgee JHS Student Council is hosting a Bville Spirit Wear Sale!
An easy way to stock up on your Bville gear for the winter season or a great Holiday gift idea!
Our Online Sale will run until November 23rd.
Orders will arrive the week of December 9th.
Orders will be sent home with you from school. (Is your order a gift? No problem! You can have it sent directly to your residence or choose to pick it up at Apparel Brothers)

Durgee JHS PTSA
We wanted to share the PTSA events planned for November and would greatly appreciate any help in promoting these on Durgee News or the marquee sign. Your support in spreading the word means a lot to us and strengthens our PTSA efforts!
Here’s what’s coming up:
11/13 - World KindnessDay
On Tuesday, 11/12, kindness stickers will be dropped off for distribution during Bee Time in each classroom. Front office secretaries will place them in mailboxes, so a friendly reminder to staff to pick up and distribute these would be greatly appreciated.
11/14 - Durgee Teen Skate Night
Join us at Skate N Place in Liverpool from 6:30 to 9:00 PM for a fun night of skating! This is a chance for students to learn a new skill and enjoy some screen-free time.
11/16 - Panera Fundraising Spirit Night
Where: Panera Bread, 3815 State Route 31, Liverpool, NY 13090
When: Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
How It Works: Mention "DURGEE" or show the flyer at checkout, and Panera will donate 25% of each purchase to support these efforts.

Paige’s Pajamarama 2024
It is time for us to begin preparing for our District wide participation in this year's Paige's Pajamarama fundraiser for the Paige's Butterfly Run organization. There are school district's from around CNY that participate in this fundraiser on Friday, November 15th this year and the organization is thrilled that the entire Baldwinsville District will be participating!! We raised over $7000 last year and with your help, we know we will do even more this year!! Remember that all of these funds go to support local children and their families, who are battling cancer. Advertising should begin around November 1st and you can use the PNG and attached PDF below.
Paige's Story - Paige was a student at Palmer Elementary when she was diagnosed with Leukemia. Staff at Palmer Elementary started the first Paige's Butterfly run, which has since raised over $4.5 MILLION to fight pediatric cancer in CNY!!
Students, Staff, and families around the District can view the QR code below to donate, and we will use student volunteers as well to collect cash donations during lunches using plastic donation jars.
